There was no official holiday Mother's Day in Kazakhstan until 2012, when a new holiday was born on the initiative of Nursultan Nazarbayev. This idea appeared on the eve of March 8.
And soon, by the Government’s decree, corresponding amendments were made to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 20, 1998 No. 3827 “On Professional and Other Holidays in the Republic of Kazakhstan”, according to which a new holiday, Mother’s Day, was established in the country and the date of its celebration was set - the third Sunday September.
