How to motivate yourself to learn?

2019-08-22, 18:49

Hello!

The third month of summer is coming to an end, which means that soon to school. Of course, it is very difficult to take up studies at the beginning of the new school year, it takes a little time to adapt.

Today we want to talk about motivation. How to motivate yourself to learn?

✅Set specific goals.

Think about specific, achievable goals, not common words. Instead of saying to yourself, “I have to get a good grade in math,” think of a specific goal, such as: “I will study the quadratic equation.”

✅Reward yourself when you reach your goals.

Find for yourself small rewards that reward yourself after completing your goal. For example, if you are still in class, you can take a short walk on a big break, eat a chocolate bar or listen to your favorite song.

✅Think about what study can give you.

To be positive about your studies, imagine what you will achieve through your studies. It can be a good grade on an exam, getting praise from a teacher, or a good institution you can go to. We don’t argue, learning is boring and hard, but thoughts about the end result will help you move forward.

✅Schedule your studies.

Define a clear time for study every day, and don’t tell yourself the vague: “I’ll be engaged in a lecture sometime in the week.” Allocate specific time for study, and it will become easier for you to adhere to your decisions.

✅Just get started! Sometimes this can be the most difficult. If your training schedule looks too complicated, set smaller goals. You can read half of the chapter today, and the second half tomorrow. Solve one or two tasks from the textbook. Remember, it’s better to do a little now than to do nothing in the end.
